Margaret Elaine Lydick Griffing

Margaret Elaine Lydick Griffing, 73, of Marietta, passed away, Friday, March 17, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital Southeast, Newark, Ohio.

Born July 31, 1949, in San Franciso, California, she was a daughter of the late Wayne Lydick and Mary Clayton McClung. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her stepfather, T.K. McClung.

She had worked as an administrative assistant for the Bureau of Fiscal Service, Public Debt and was a quick typist and skilled in shorthand. Margaret attended Williams Creek Baptist Church, she enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, to whom she was a beloved and loving wife of 37 years, Milton Michael Griffing, MR1 USN Retired, and her brother, Wayne “Butch” Allen Lydick (Rosario) of Spain.
