M. Rose (Tucker) Eddy, 86, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Putnam County, WV she was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Glenville State College in Social Work.  She retired as a Case Manager in the Alzheimer’s Program at the Wood County Committee on Aging where she was a member of many state and national organizations regarding Alzheimer’s care and research.  She was a parent volunteer and judge for the Parkersburg High School Speech and Debate Team.  She was also a member of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Iva Tucker.  In addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, Byrl Sr.; a son Byrl Jr.; five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Barnes of Cottageville, WV; son, Andrew of Dallas, Texas; a grand-daughter, Michelle Radcliff of Rockwall, Texas; a grandson, Robert Wilson of Tucson, Arizona; six great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren, Alyssa Bolinge, Cody Vanmeter, Tavish Vanmeter, Tyler Vanmeter, Brylee Vanmeter, and Bren Vanmeter and 12 step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2022, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with the Reverend Cynthia Eakle of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Services will conclude with burial at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Stout Memorial United Methodist Church , 3329 Broad Street, Parkersburg, WV  26104 or Uplift Atlas Preparatory High School Speech and Debate Team,  4600 Bryan Street, Building 2, Dallas, Texas 75204.
