Lula Townsend

Lula Townsend, 96, of Davisville, WV passed away April 24, 2017 at Worthington Manor Nursing Home.She was born December 1, 1920 in Wirt County to the late Lee and Anna Barker Brooks.She was a homemaker, loved birdwatching and her dog “Fluffy.” She is survived by three sons, Walter Townsend of Walker, WV, Marvin Townsend of Murphytown, WV and Larry (Brenda) Townsend of Wood County, three daughters, Pauline (Arnold) Allen of Boaz, WV, Dian Townsend and Adeline (Richard) Buck both of Parkersburg, WV, one sister, Ruby Martin of Wood County, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Townsend, one son, John Townsend, and several brothers and sisters. Inurnment will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery at the convenience of the family.Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg, WV is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
