Lula Mae Donalson

Lula Mae Donalson, 97, of Parkersburg passed away July 29, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born April 13, 1923 in Charleston, WV. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Florence Rader Samples. Lula attended South Parkersburg U.M.C. Left behind to cherish her memory, is her daughter Carolyn Pearson (Ron) of Elizabeth; step children, Debby Frantti (Jim) of Moon Township, PA, Donna Jackson (Steve) of Williamstown, WV and Deron Donalson (Kristen) of Washington, PA; grandchildren, Duane Pearson (Amy), Benjamin Parsons, Megan Taylor (David); step grandchildren, Sean Frantti (Alyson), Laura Bishop (Ben),Brent Jackson (Rebecca), Bethany Hoylman (Dustin) and Emma, Lainey, Addie Donalson; 10 step great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Samples of Gainsville, FL, Robert Samples of Jacksonville, FL, David Samples of Springfield, MO and Richard Samples of Jacksonville, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lee Parsons; second husband, Charles Donalson; son and daughter in law, Rev. Roger and Beverly Parsons; one granddaughter Amy Parsons; sisters, Helen Huffman, Wilma Price, Ruby Perry, Betty Callen and Judy Pyles; and several nieces and nephews. There will be private funeral services. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday August 4, at Kimes Funeral Home 521 5th St. Parkersburg, WV 26101. Masks and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the South Parkersburg U.M.C. 1813 Rayon Dr. Parkersburg, WV 26101.
