Lottie Jean Kimes, 92, of Parkersburg passed away July 9, 2015, at Parkersburg Care & Rehabilitation surrounded by her family. She was born July 29, 1922, at Belleville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas Jason and Elizabeth Smith Lucas. Lottie sang with her sister, Freda, and they were known as the "Kimes Sisters". She was a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church and was employed at the A. W. Cox Department Store for 23 years,where she spent time as an elevator operator and window decorator. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and spending time with her family. Surviving is her son, Thomas H. "Tom" (Pam) Kimes of Washington, W.Va.; and her daughter, Marjorie "Margie" Kittle of Parkersburg; one sister, Freda Kimes of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Alan D. Kittle, of Washington, W.Va., Tim Kimes of Key Largo, Fla. and Tyler Henry of Logan, W.Va.; one great-grandchild, Shane Richard Kittle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Kimes; an infant brother; a sister, Pauline Riffle; and a son-in-law, Sam Kittle. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 13, at Kimes Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Varndell and Clarence Mathess officiating, and burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 12, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m
