Loraine E. 'Hobo" Hartshorn

Loraine E. “Hobo” Hartshorn, 89, of New Franklin, Ohio passed away peacefully May 31, 2017.She was born February 17, 1928 in Wood County, WV to the late Wardie C. and Lucy Jane Smith.She was a member of Ford Chapel U. M. Church and was a homemaker.She loved her family and doing crafts. She is survived by her son, Ken Hartshorn of Barberton, Ohio, three daughters, Margaret (Jim) Bennett of Groveport, Ohio, Janet Sue (Wayne) Miller of Akron, Ohio and Nancy J. (Denny) Alkyer of New Franklin, Ohio, grandchildren, Kenny Eric, Amy, David, Chrissy, Lori, Brian, Jonathan, Maichelle, Marsha and Michael, 17 great-grandchildren and one brother, William D. “Betty” Smith of Belleville. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Glen A. Hartshorn, one granddaughter, Lisa Hartshorn, three brothers, Elmer “Curly” Smith, Kenneth Smith and Harold “Jake” Smith, and one sister, Mildred Straight. Friends and family are invited to attend the FuneralService on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg.Inurnment of ashes will be at a later date at the convenience of the family at Sunset Memory Gardens.Visitation will also be on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 11 a.m. until time of service.
