Linda Marie Pepper

Linda Marie Pepper, 67, of Washington, WV, passed away March 14, 2025, in Belpre, OH, after a brief illness.

She was born in Pikeville, KY on March 19, 1957, to her loving parents, Donald and Geraldine Pepper. Her parents moved to New England Ridge while she was very young.

She graduated with honors from Parkersburg South High School in 1975. Before graduation she worked at Bond’s Drug Store in Lubeck, WV. Probably when she started, she never thought that time would continue for 52 years. Linda made many friends while working there and enjoyed the various positions given to her. There was always a smile, a warm greeting, and genuine care for everyone.

Linda was a lifelong member of New England Baptist Church. She was a pianist and choir director for many years; since she had a beautiful voice, she sang many solos. Linda was also active in the Ladies Mission Circle. She loved to worship and serve God. In later years, it became difficult to attend regularly but the desire to do so was always there.

Linda was blessed with many cherished childhood friends and a loving community. She was so grateful for the recent help she received from her neighbors and friends. Especially for providing food, yardwork, and helping with the trash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her aunt, Joan Lanyon of Parkersburg, WV; uncle Paul “Butch” Pepper of Weirton, WV; uncle, Russell Pepper of Independence, MO; cousins, Marsha Camp of Parkersburg, WV, Brenda Ayre (Scott) of S. Portland ME, Amber Stieglitz (Jerry) of Rome City, IN, Diane Hanlin of Fort Wayne, IN, Barbara Kusinitz of Erie, CO, and Roy Rhodes (Letty) of Goshen, IN.

Linda was a ray of sunshine to those who knew her and we will so miss her warm, beautiful smile. May her light shine on in our memories.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Miller officiating. Interment in New England Church Cemetery will follow. A gathering of family and friends will be 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
