Linda Arline Chancey

Linda Arline Chancey, 82, of Parkersburg passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Ohio State University Medical Center on May 22, 2024.

Daughter of the late William C. McGregor and Edith Arline Hardesty Conger and stepfather Joe Conger, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband Arlin Chancey, brother William McGregor and granddaughter Sierriah Jade Buskirk in addition to her parents.

Linda is survived by her loving children, Timothy Buskirk (Karen), Jeffrey Buskirk (Rebecca), Melissa Weiford, and James Chancey (Jan) as well as sisters Pat Conger Welden, Linda Conger Fortson, and brother, Gary Conger.

Linda was also cherished by her grandchildren, Sarah Stump (Andrew), Shawn Buskirk, Ashley Morrison (Chad), Kyle Weiford (Darlene), Katelyn Reynolds (Andrew), Colby Buskirk, Cadi Buskirk, Conner Chancey, and Regan Chancey, as well as her six great-grandchildren, Lilian and Amelia Weiford, Emma and Olivia Jade Stump, & Silas and Reese Reynolds.

Linda dedicated many years to the JCPenney Company and later found joy in owning Linda’s Country Treasures where she loved working with her many local customers. A proud graduate of Parkersburg High School, Linda remained an enthusiastic supporter of the Big Reds.

Born on March 31, 1942, her legacy of love, hard work, and generosity will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with visitation 11:00 a.m. until time of service. She will be entombed 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at Sunset Memory Gardens.
