Leonard E. Metz

Leonard E. Metz, 73, of Grantsville, WV, departed this life Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at home. He was born July 1, 1947 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Lennie Metz Sr. and Leona Eddy Metz. Leonard retired from Dupont Washington Works with 35 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Linda Erlewine Metz; three children, Michelle “Shelly” Metz of Fredericksburg, VA, Michael Metz and Jason Metz both of Five Forks, WV; three step-children, Scott Erlewine (Susan) of Columbia, SC, Melanie Henderson (Jeff Cunningham) of Big Bend, WV, and Leslie Erlewine of Convington, GA; four siblings, Bob Metz (Linda) of Rockport, WV, Sharon Wilson (Carl) and Karen Reed (Alvin) both of Parkersburg, and Lennie Metz, Jr. (Nancy) of Big Bend, WV; eight step-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and Best Buddy, Steve Trimble. In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by one brother, Lewis Metz; one sister, Delores Whited; one step-son, Todd Erlewine; and lifelong friend, Eursel Roberts. A Celebration of Leonard's life will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Chapel Baptist Church, Nobe, West Virginia with Pastor Herald Francis officiating.
