Leona Ilene Hostottle

Leona Ilene Hostottle, 77, of Waverly passed away October 8, 2016 at Worthington Nursing Home. She was born February 18, 1939 in Wood County, a daughter of the late Leon E. and Nellie Mae Carpenter Phillips.She was a lifetime member of Pleasant Grove U. M. Church and was a homemaker.She was an Auxillary member of the Waverly Fire Department, United Methodist Women, and was a loving wife, wonderful mother and a doting grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Everett A. (Bud) Hostottle, two daughters, Cathy (Richard) Deem of Eaton, Ohio, Carolyn (Ken) Spencer of Palestine and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Hostottle of Waverly, two grandchildren, Nathan J. Spencer of Eaton, Ohio and Ian M. Hostottle of Waverly, three step-grandchildren, Jessica Deem, Ashley Blount of Radcliff, KY, Richard Deem II of Minneapolis, MN and four step-grandchildren, JaCorey and JaSiyah Shumake, Brianna & Alyssa Blount, of Radcliff, KY, and one brother, Robert E. “Bob” Phillips of Parkersburg, and one sister, Audrie Ellen (Bill) Crites of Williamstown. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Jim Hostottle, two grandsons, Joshua Hostottle and Coley Spencer. Special thanks to the Staff at Worthington for their care over the last eight years. Friends and Family are invited to attend the funeral service on Thursday October 13 2016 at 11 am at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Rev. Gene Full officiating.Burial will follow at Corbin Cemetery.Visitation will be on Wednesday October 12 2016 from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
