Kathryn "Kay" Fetty (nee Davis), loving wife of James Fetty, and mother, age 87, passed away on January 1, 2018, in Belpre, OH.Kay was born April 27, 1930 to the late Elsie and Emzie Davis, of Griffithsville, West Virginia.She is survived by two daughters, Leslie Fetty of Alexandria, Va., and Kelly Fetty of Winston-Salem, N.C., and her beloved cat, Tabby. Kay graduated from Duval High School in 1948; she was valedictorian of her class as well as varsity cheerleader. Upon graduating high school, she completed a two year business program within six months and became employed as a secretary at E.I. DuPont Company's Washington Works plant in Parkersburg. Kay was active in a variety of faith based organizations who’s mission it was to improve the lives of people both locally and around the world: some of which included local blood drives, care packages to impoverished peoples, and various social functions. The family would like to express their thanks to the following in-home caregivers: Myrtle Martinelli, Karen James, Sharon Ball, Marie Modesitt, Rita Root, Shannon Fouts and Lora Cox, who were a source of comfort to the entire family. Their selfless devotion is deeply appreciated. The family expresses their heartfelt thanks and love to Brenda Cook, a special friend of the family for many years. Thanks also to Camden Clark Hospital and Belpre Landing. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society at www.hsop.org. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, January 15, 2018,at 1:00 p.m. at KimesHome and Cremation Services, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg, with Pastor Tom Stephens officiating.
