Kathleen “Kacki” W. Vaughan, 93, of Cape Coral, Florida, died at home on Sunday, November 3, 2019. She was born September 21, 1926 in Proctorville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Cecil & Marie Taitt West.From the age of two, until retiring in 1990, she lived in Vienna and Parkersburg, West Virginia.She attended schools in Vienna and Parkersburg, graduating from Parkersburg High School in 1943.While in Parkersburg she was a member of Altrusa, P.E.O., the Parkersburg Women’s Club and the Parkersburg Country Club. She married Stanley N. Vaughan, Jr. on December 1,1944 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was employed by the New England Mutual Life Insurance Co., Parker-Hunter Investments and Vaughan Funeral Home in Parkersburg, West Virginia where she retired after 20 years as Secretary-Treasurer. She and her husband moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 1990. She was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church, the Palmetto Pine Country Club and P.E.O.Chapter DF of Cape Coral. She is survived by two sons, Stan (Nancy) Vaughan of Scottsdale, Arizona and Dr. Andrew (Amy) Vaughan of Charleston, West Virginia; one daughter, Judith (Blair) Thompson of Lewistown, Pennsylvania; three grandsons, Zachary, Dr. Jason and Chad Vaughan; four great-grandsons, Brandon, Nicholas, Vincent and Nathan; one great-granddaughter, Rebecca; and one brother, C.K. (Sally) West of Hinesville, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Stanley N. Vaughan, Jr., and a son, Vance Kevin. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 22, 2019, at the Faith Presbyterian Church, Cape Coral, Florida with Pastor Tom Brackbill officiating. A family only committal service will be held at the Coral Ridge Cemetery.
