Kathleen (Katie) Iwana Morlan

Kathleen Iwana (Katie) Morlan, 89, of Parkersburg passed away July 19, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Waverly, WV.She was born June 2, 1929 in Logan, Ohio to the late Pearl Irene Dotson Walum.She was an active member at North End church of Christ for 71 years and a former member of Hopewell church of Christ. She was a P. H. S. graduate and had formerly worked at Patti Johns and also Vienna Florist and was a Homemaker.She was President of the Ohio Valley College Stepping Stones, taught Bible Class for many years and had taken a Mission Trip to Ukraine always supporting her husband John, and also visited the Holy Land.She was known to be Hospitable and opened her home to many.She loved and supported her kids and grand-kids. Surviving is her husband of 70 years, John Morlan, three sons, Larry (Kathy) Morlan, Jim (Majida) Morlan and Jay Morlan and one daughter, Pam (Jimmy) Sailor, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, two brothers, William (Bud) Cochran and Nay Cochran, and two sisters, Carol (Ed) Townsend and Sue Walsh, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by a step-father, Ira Cochran, two brothers, two sisters. The family would like to give a special thanks to Housecalls Hospice who helped during Katie’s illness. Memorial Donations may be made to Love And Care, PO Box 1512, Parkersburg, WV 26102. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2 p. m. at North-End church of Christ with Evangelist Steven Haguewood officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery.Visitation will also be on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. also at the church.
