Judith Ann Peters

Judith Ann “Judy” Peters, 72, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at The Willows, Parkersburg. Judy was born November 5, 1941 at Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Staats Givens. She was retired from Mountain Heritage Federal Credit Union and had been employed for 35 years at Traders Federal Savings and Loan, where she had served as loan officer, director, secretary of the board of directors and senior vice-president.She was a former commissioner with the Parkersburg Housing Authority.Judy was an active member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Parkersburg. She is survived by a sister, Mary Piggott of Parkersburg; a niece, Nancy Piggott of Parkersburg; a step-daughter, Jeanne Peters (Kimberly Williams) of Vienna, W.Va.; and a step-son, Len Peters of Atlanta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Peters. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 903 Charles Street, Parkersburg with The Reverend Marjorie Bevans officiating.Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.The family will receive friends in the Great Hall of the church following services.The services are under the direction of the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg.
