J. Karen Boston, 67, of Parkersburg, passed away October 21, 2013 at CAMC- Vascular Center, Charleston. She was born May 5, 1946 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Lloyd Byrl and Ava Maxine Moncrief Boston. Karen graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1964 and from Glenville State College.She was a former teacher at Mountain State College, an accountant for Dr. Frame and Associates, and co-owner of Videodine. Karen enjoyed sprint car racing, the river and all outdoor activities. Karen is survived by one brother, Michael K. Boston and wife Janet of Parkersburg; fivenieces, Norita Elzein, Shauna Davis, Stacy Wilson Boston, Terry and Christina; three nephews, James Keith Boston Jr., Brian M. Boston and Rickie; a special friend, Michael Byrdwhom she treated like a son. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Byre Boston and James Keith Boston; 2 sisters- in- law Mary Phillips Boston, and Phyllis Brown Boston. A service of remembrance will be held 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Jackson Park community building in Vienna. The Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
