Joyce Irene Maxson Hyde, 72, went home to celebrate Jesus rising from the grave with Christ himself. She was greeted by God the Father, her loved ones, and her precious granddaughter Tia Louise on Easter Sunday April 12, 2020, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was a 1966 graduate of Williamstown High School. She wore many hats at times to help provide for her family, but her most treasured role was being the matriarch of the family. She was born March 11, 1948 in Parkersburg, W. Va., the daughter of the late John David and Katheryn Louise Shepard Maxson. Joyce is survived by her two children, Kenneth (Sandra) Hyde of Vienna, and April Hyde, of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Dustin (Jennifer) Hall of Davisville, Rockie (Micheal) Kelley, and Phillip Hyde, both of Vienna; three great grandchildren, Cameron and Weston Hall, and Maxwell Kelley; and numerous nieces and nephews that adored her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Victor Gale Hyde; one granddaughter, Tia Louise Hyde; and two sisters, Linda Cooper and Lorie Wolfe. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later time. A memorial group has been created on Facebook at Joyce Maxson Hyde – Thoughts & Memories (https://www.facebook.com/groups/158364015480643) for those who would like to leave a memory or special thought about Joyce for the family.
