Joan T. Freeland

Joan T. Freeland, 86, of Parkersburg passed away January 29, 2020 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born December 11, 1933 in Baltimore, MD, she is the daughter of the late Margaret Radcliff and William Mearns. She was a homemaker, part owner of Bob’s Bicycle Shop and attended 19th Street Church of God. She enjoyed her Bible studies and spending time with her family. Left behind to cherish her memory, are her children, Lyle Freeland (Dee) of SC, Stan Freeland (Jane) of Newark, WV, Rob Freeland II of Parkersburg, Kim Wise (Terry) of Clarkson, KY; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Roberts of Bel Air, MD andMarge Dacko of SC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Freeland; infant sister Sharon Lynn Mearns and sister, Judy Oats. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Kimes Funeral Home 521 5th St. Parkersburg, WV with Pastor Jimmie Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at Kimes Funeral Home.
