Jerldene H. Leasure

Jerldene H. Leasure, 89, of Vienna, passed away August 17, 2017 at Worthington Manor Nursing Center.She was born at Anmoore, Harrison County, W,Va., a daughter of the late Willie J. and Vena Mace Boggs. Mrs. Leasure was a former employee of Cox's Department Store and for several years was the seamstress in the fur department at Dil's department store.She owned and operated the former Blue Bonnett craft store in Vienna and was an active volunteer with the Salvation Army in her younger years. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Layman and husband Fred of Vienna; two grandchildren, Amy Gilbert (Scott) and Shelly Armstrong (Scott); her grand- daughter in law, Christina Layman(wife of deceased grandson, Fred Layman Jr.); six great grandchildren, Tyler, Brady, Sophie, Hunter, Cooper and Tommy; former daughter in law, Patty Powell.In addition to her parents and grandson Fred, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years, Gore Goff Leasure in 2007; two sons, Wayne and William, four brothers and three sisters. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg with Pastor Mark Eaton officiating.Interment will follow in the Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to service on Monday.In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Salvation Army or any Veterans organization.
