Jennifer Elder Hughes, 56 passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at WVU Medicine Camden after a short illness.She was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 10, 1961, the youngest daughter of the late Stanley and Sue Francis Elder.Jennifer graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1979.She was a staff member of Summerville Catholic School in South Carolina where her children attended school.She returned to Vienna in 2000 where she worked and was the coordinator of the after school program and summer camp program at the Parkersburg, YMCA, while attending WVU-P where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in accounting.Upon graduation she worked for the WV State Tax Office. She was a truly kind, witty and joyous person and a willing organ donor as a final selfless act. Jennifer is survived by her two children, Noah and Molly of Morgantown, WV, her sisters, Joan Aders (Otis Harris) of Morgantown and Julie Bourque (Gary) of Winchester, KY and only brother John Elder of Parkersburg.Also surviving are cousins, Joseph and Patrick Aders of Roanoke, VA, Chris and Adam Bourque of Lexington, KY and Eric Bourque of Winchester. Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St Michael’s Catholic Church with Father John Gallagher officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at I Don’t Care Eatery & Spirits, 6255 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date at Mt Carmel Cemetery beside her parents.
