Jeff Kieffer, 61, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota and formerly of Vienna, W.Va. passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2013 in the St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth, Minnesota. Jeff was born in Parkersburg, W.Va. on April 20, 1952, a son of Robert E. "Bob" Kieffer of Vienna and the late Mary Onalee Sheppard Kieffer. Jeff was an engineer employed in the nuclear energy industry.He enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing, and was a U.S. Navy veteran having served aboard the U.S.S. Arnold J. Isabell during the Vietnam Conflict. In addition to his father, Jeff is survived by his wife, Sandra J. "Sandie" Snell Kieffer; three daughters, Vicky Lynn Carey of Enrico, Virginia, Roberta Diane "Robbie" Werner (Steve) of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Nicole Marie Kieffer of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; two sisters, Deborah Lynn Fowler (Carl) of Minooka, Illinois and Lou Ann Jones (Darryl) of Archer City, Texas; three granddaughters, Andrea, Rebecca and Gabrielle; andthree grandsons, Dustin, Brian and James. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Diane Daugherty Kieffer, on September 7, 1992. Funeral services will be conducted at Noon on Friday, November 8th, at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg.The Reverend Dr. Patrick Kerr will officiate with interment to follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens with military graveside rites conducted by Post 15 American Legion, Parkersburg.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until time of service on Friday.
