Jayne L Gillespie

Jayne L. Gillespie, 89, of Parkersburg passed away January 28, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her family and her dog Sammy.She was born in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ray W. and Bonnie Bright Crane. She was a life member of the First Lutheran Church, a graduate of Parkersburg High School with the class of 1944, worked for the Parkersburg Credit Bureau for several years and was a retired Volunteer for Camden Clark Hospital for 30 years.She was a wife, mother, grandmother and a friend.She was a NASCAR Fan and rooted for Jeff Gordon always. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn (Jim) Ault of Lubeck, Michael S. (Charlotte) Gillespie of Vienna, WV, Jay (Vickie) Gillespie of Plano, Texas, Jeff (Lisa) Gillespie of Naples, Florida, a sister, Anne Houdashelt of Grove City, Ohio and grandchildren, Julie Brissey, Matt Gillespie, Clinton Gillespie, Kris Gillespie, Amber Gillespie and Drew Gillespie, two step grandchildren, Heather Tarrant and Tiffany Dawson of Columbus and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Gillespie in 2002 and a dear grandson, Jimmy Ault in 2001. At her request there will be no funeral, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg, WV from 1pm-3pm. with Graveside Services immediately following visitation at Evergreen South Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.Reverend Erik Nielson will officiate. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Missy Lipscomb for all the love and care she gave to Jayne and also to all of the other caregivers who work for Amedisys.
