Janet L. Somerville Corbin, 81, of Washington, W.Va., died July 23, 2018 at her residence.Janet was born October 11, 1936 at Palestine, W.Va., a daughter of the late Robert M. and Edith A. Morehead Somerville. She was a 1954 Parkersburg High School graduate and had spent much of her adult life caring for family members.Janet and her husband of 53 years, D. Dean Corbin had owned and operated their family construction business for many years. They were charter members of the Stardusters Square Dance Club and the Studebaker Drivers Club.They had traveled to several national car shows exhibiting their 1958 Packard Hawk that Dean had restored. Janet is survived by three daughters, Andrea Joy (Roy), LeAnn Miller (Carl) and Wendy Spears (Scott) all of Parkersburg; two sisters, Carol Sams (Marlin) of Washington, W.Va. and Barbara Somerville of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren, Corbin Parsons, Robert Allen Spears, Amy Stevens (David), Ashlee Coleman (Troy), Amanda Stroh (Tim), Maranda Joy, Shyla Parsons, Makenna Parsons and Charlee Spears and seven great-grandchildren, Abigail and Benjamin Stroh, Braydin, Tyler and Uriah Coleman and Emily and David Stevens. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death in 2012 by her husband, Dean and in 1994, by her son, Russell M. "Rusty" Corbin. Funeral services will be at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Ave., Parkersburg at the convenience of the family.Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
