James “Jim” Delbert Mulinex Sr., 82, of Marietta passed away at his home October 3, 2019. He was born November 20, 1937 in Washington Co., OH. Jim is the son of the late Hilda Miller Schneberger and Delbert Mulinex. He attended Washington State Community College where he obtained an associate degree in industrial engineering. He served in the National Guard as well as an active duty Air Force member during the Korean Conflict. He attended church at the Mineral Wells Church of Christ. Jim enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, studying his Bible, being a jokester and loved his animals Sonny, Isis, Brutus, and Daisy. Left behind to cherish his memory, is his wife of 59 years, Lenora Ruth Whipkey Mulinex; four children, James D. Mulinex Jr. (Carol)of Marietta, OH,Laura Ann Hupp (John) of St. Mary’s, WV, Karen Sue Britton of Belpre, OH, Brenda Kay Cottrell (Kevin) of TN ; along with his 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Thomas ofMarietta, OH andPauline Jorgenson of Cambridge, OH. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Sweeny. Funeral Services will be held Monday October 7, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Kimes Funeral Home 521 5th Street Parkersburg, WV 26101 with Kevin Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow at Big Tygart Cemetery in Rockport, WV. Visitation will be Sunday October 6, 2019 at Kimes Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
