James W. Kessell,

James Wayne Kessell, II, 58, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his residence after battling cancer.He was born October 3, 1959 at Charleston, W.Va., a son of Anna Lee Kidd Kessell of Porter, Texas and the late James Wayne Kessell, Sr. Jim had been employed at Century Aluminum until its closing and then returned to college, obtaining his master's degree and taught adult education classes at several area facilities.He was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, April Dawn Trembly Kessell; one daughter, Hunter Dawn Kessell (Brett McCoy) of Parkersburg; two sons, Richard Kyle Kessell and James (Trey) Kessell, III, both of Vienna, W.Va.; one sister, Lisa Glover (Chuck) of Porter, Texas; one brother, David Kessell (Teresa) of Silverton, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Finnley Kessell and Annabelle McCoy; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church with The Reverend Marjorie Bevans officiating.The Vaughan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
