Irene L. Deem

Irene L. Deem, 91, of Waterford, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at her residence.She was born in Washington County, Ohio November 11, 1928, a daughter of the late John L. and Viola M. Wagner Hickman.Her husband, Alan C. Deem, preceded her in death in 1975. Mrs. Deem retired from the U.S. Treasury, Bureau of the Public Debt. Survivors include three sons, Alan C. Deem and wife, Gwen of Veto, Ohio, John W. Deem and wife, Jerri of Marietta, Ohio and Paul R. Deem and wife, Patricia of Waterford, Ohio; one brother, John W. Hickman and wife, JoAnn of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Marie Deem. There is no scheduled visitation or service.Cremation services are being provided by the Vaughan Funeral Home & Crematory, Parkersburg.
