Henry M. “Hank” Somerville II, 75, of Vienna passed away December 25, 2018 at his home. He was born July 8, 1943 in Washington, DC to the late Arnold and Dale Cline Somerville. He was a Graduate of P.H.S. and Fairmont State University and was retired from WV Division of Corrections, St. Marys Correctional Center, as Associate Warden. After retirement, he worked as a Substitute Teacher for the Wood County Board of Education at Edison Jr. High School for 9 years. Hank’s passion was motorcycle riding having crossed the U.S. many times. He was also a Court Appointed Advocate for CASA and had attended Vienna Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Judith Somerville, of Vienna, a daughter, Sallie (Eli) Davis of Morgantown, one grandson, Bridger Davis of Morgantown, WV, sisters, Sue (Blair) Montgomery of Fairmont, WV and Patricia (David) Stephens of Belpre, Ohio, and a special cousin, Dr. Chuck (Danielle) Cline of Oregon, Step-Children, Meredith Moran of Vienna, WV, and Adam Evans of Parkersburg, WV, Step-Grandchildren, Paige and Evan, Moran of Vienna and Step-Great-Granddaughter, Pheobe Shank of Vienna, WV. There will be a Private Memorial Service at the convenience of the family. There will be no Visitation. Memorial Donations may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society of Parkersburg or CASA “Voices for Children” at 4th and Market St., Parkersburg, WV in Hank’s Honor.
