Helen J. Gault-Johnson

Helen J. Gault-Johnson, 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at her residence. She was born January 2, 1932 at Ripley, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lexie and Audra Parrish Casto. Helen had been a home health-care worker, devoting her life to the care of others.She had attended Downtown Bethel Church and was a member of the Moose Auxiliary.She enjoyed flowers, watching birds and listening to audio versions of the Bible. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Y. Williams of Parkersburg and Carla D. Patton (Michael) of Mineral Wells; two sisters, Ginny Cullum and JoAn Baker, both of Parkersburg; one brother Billy Casto (Pamela) of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Aaron Williams, Bethani Wentworth, Stephanie Morris, Katy Patton and Carla Parsons; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; step-children, Vicky Stilgenbauer (Roy) of Parkersburg, Teresa Hall of Walker, Steven Johnson (Marlena) of Virginia, Rocky Johnson of Walker, Tammy Rozenski of Virginia and Gary Johnson (Valerie) of Parkersburg; and had reunited with her childhood friend, Otmer Knopp. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl F. Gault; second husband, Herbert Dale Johnson; one brother, Robert Casto; two sisters, Wilma Young and infant Betty Casto; step-child, Jeff Johnson; and grandson, Stephen Patton. Funeral Services will be 2 P.M., Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg.Pastor Janet Richards will officiate and burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday, November 3 and one hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
