Heather Cameron Oblisk, 48, of Williamstown, West Virginia, left us unexpectedly to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at her residence. She was born May 7, 1972 in Parkersburg to parents Robert and Rita (Richardson) Cameron. Heather was a 1990 graduate of Williamstown High School and then went on to attend Ohio Valley College, where she would eventually meet her husband, Michael. After a long courtship, they would be joined in marriage August 16, 1997. She was first employed by her Alma Mater, OVC, where she performed many duties, including coaching the OVC softball team. Upon completion of her Masters degree (from West Virginia University in 2000), she began teaching college courses for Ohio Valley College. She has also taught online and on campus for West Virginia University Parkersburg and Washington State Community College. In 2012, she accepted a teaching position at Williamstown High School. It was there she found her true calling and, as we have found at the time of her passing, made a tremendous impact on her students, past and present. Heather was a life long member of the North End Church of Christ, where her father serves as an elder and her husband serves as a deacon. She was a lover of sports. She loved to cheer on WVU in football and basketball as well as support her Williamstown students in extra curricular activities. More than anything, though, Heather was an avid supporter of any activity that her daughters were involved, especially their sports careers. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Michael and her three daughters, Hallie, Riley, and Brynn, all from Williamstown; her parents Bob and Rita Cameron of Boaz; brother, Chris (Erica) Cameron of North Hills; and many other loving friends and family. Visitation will take place Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the North End Church of Christ, 1301 West Virginia Avenue, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11 a.m., also at the church building, with Minister Steven Haguewood officiating. Final resting place is Evergreen North Cemetery. In accordance with CDC guidelines, face masks are required and social distancing will be practiced. The church will provide a livestream of the event for those who cannot be in attendance.
