Harry Michael Kidder, 76, of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at home surrounded by loved ones. Mike was born July 15, 1946 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Harry A., Jr. and Helen Shutts Kidder. He was a graduate of Belpre High School and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Mike was retired from Remington Rand – Kardex in Marietta, Ohio with 36 years of service. Mike had a zest for life, a wonderful sense of humor and loved being with his family and friends. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mike is survived by a son, M. Austin Kidder (Tiffany) of Parkersburg; a daughter-in-law, Shannyn I. Kidder of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; a sister, Lela Starcher (Jack) of Arnoldsburg, W.Va.; a brother, Ray Kidder (Marcy) of Barlow, Ohio; grandchildren, Misty, William “Little Mexican”, Ariana and Alya Mitchell and Erica, Damien, Levi and Joel Kidder; fifteen great-grandchildren; special family, Dr. Tricia Bawn (Mike) and their children, Isabel and Tyler Bawn of Mesa, Arizona; good friend, Dave Knight; and his furry friend, Joey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eric T. Kidder; a sister, Paula Bennet; a brother, Jack Kidder; and special friend, Sug Himes. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Vaughan-Kimes Funeral Home, 521 – 5th Street, Parkersburg. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion, Parkersburg Post 15 following the visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
