Harley Wayne (Hank) Starcher, 66, of Parkersburg passed away November 10, 2016 at Marietta Memorial ER, Belpre, with his family by his side.He was born November 2, 1950 in Parkersburg to the late Jess Willard and Ora Mae Ballengee Starcher.He was a 1968 graduate of P. H. S. and attended Mountain State College.He retired from Cytec where he was in the Fire Brigade and was Past President of U. S. W. Local 499.He worked in the Washington and Morgan Counties for Meals on Wheels was a member of the North Parkersburg Kiwanis, was a Crossing Guard, loved camping and woodworking and portrayed Santa Claus for over 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Insani) Starcher, one daughter, Nickoletta Lynn (Nicki) Starcher, three sisters, Sharon Starcher of Vienna, Sandy (Herb) Sims of Parkersburg and Lois Jean Smith of Indiana, one sister-in-law, Ula “Julie” Starcher, eight nephews, Ronnie (Sandy) Smith, Jason (Jen) Smith, Jim Smith, Matthew (Kimberly) Starcher, Seth (Jill) Sims, Tyler Sims, Nick Smith, Carter Sims and four nieces, Jessica Starcher, Lauren Smith, Maddy Smith, and Morgan Smith, and his furry friends, “Sara”, “Chill” and “Socks”. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by one brother, Ricky Dean Starcher. Friends and Family are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11 a. m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Evangelist John Rockhold, III officiating and burial following at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Donations should be made to the Parkersburg or Marietta Humane Society.
