Grace Tanner Pierson

Grace Tanner Pierson, 89, of Parkersburg, passed away August, 21, 2016 at Genesis HealthCare Parkersburg, She was born March 11, 1927 at Parkersburg a daughter of James M. and Oza Ann Allred Beckett Sr. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School Class of 1945, a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Good- Will Sunday School Class and Womens Sewing Circle Society for 60 years. She is survived by three daughters and husbands Becki and Kevin Miller of Parkersburg, Debbie and Steve Mulligan of Parkersburg, Vickie and Jeff Hildebrand of Mineral Wells; One grandson Jason and Jessica Hildebrand , four granddaughters Lori DeMerchant, Jessica Walkup,, Justine and Mark Walker, Jenna and Jessie King, and 8 great grandchildren Kaelyn, Jaedon, Jaelynn, Josh, Jordon, Nola, Evan, Declan; and Several nieces and nephews including two she raised Jodi Hall and Tara Clegg; sisters and and husbands Audrey and Carl Balderson, Carolyn and Chuck Stutler, and Sharon and Dave Buffington. She is also survived by Warren's children Becky Szakats, Brian Pierson and Jeff and Nancy Pierson. Preceding her in death is her first husband Delbert Tanner, her second Husband Warren Pierson, two brothers James M. Beckett, Jr. and Joel Blanchard Beckett and one sister Peggy Pierson and grandchildren Charles Mulligan, Kevin Kent and Leslie Kent. Friends and family are invited to attend Funeral services Wed August 24, 2016 at 10 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 10th Ave & Thomas St, South Parkersburg. Pastor Mike Daniels will officiate and visitation will be held Tuesday August 23, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home 521 5th St Parkersburg, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg.
