Grace Boyd Starcher

Grace Boyd Starcher, 90, of Washington, West Virginia, passed away Monday, November 19, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Walter and Lena Wright Boyd.

Grace was a member of Zion Baptist Church of Parkersburg, a volunteer for House to Home, enjoyed having coffee with friends, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Those remaining to cherish her memory include her daughters, Debra Hendershot of Washington, West Virginia, Kathy McKinniss (Andy) of Belpre, Ohio, and Barbara Smith (Chris) of Parkersburg, West Virginia; sons, Robert Arbogast (Sheila) of Parkersburg, Willis Dale Starcher, Jr. (Alisha) of Vienna, West Virginia, Eric Starcher (Kathy) of Parkersburg, and Craig Starcher (Shannon) of Parkersburg; two siblings, Patty Thomas of Parkersburg and Jeannine Clark (Don) of Parkersburg; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one “fur” baby, Molly.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Dale Starcher, Sr.; daughter, Christina Starcher; grandson, Joshua Irick; sisters, Donna Morris, Loretta Gainer, and Linda Church; and brothers Jackie E. Boyd and Carl B. Boyd.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Hendershot officiating. Services will conclude with interment at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
