Gloria Jean Stanley

Gloria Jean Stanley, 76, of Williamstown, WV went to be with her Lord on March 9, 2019.She was born July 4, 1942 in Midway, Georgia to the late James and Louise Jones Buchan.She worked for the Social Security Administration for 35 years as a Service Representative.She graduated from Sebring High School in Florida and earned an Associate Degree.She was a member of the Williamstown Seniors and the Boaz Baptist Church Ladies Group where she was also a member. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Dale Stanley, two sons, Clay (Virginia) Stanley of New Albany, Ohio and Shane Stanley of Williamstown, WV, and one daughter, Tami (William) Perkins of Ravenswood, WV, Grandchildren, Hannah, Blake, Nathan, Branden, Heather (Drew), Zachary, Austin, Caleb and Isaac, Great-Grandchildren, Brayden, Gavin and Briley, two brothers, Jim (Sheri) Buchan of Branson, Missouri and Johnny Buchan of Atlanta, Georgia, two sisters, Jamie (Bill) Ivings of Sarasota, Florida and Suzanne (Michael) Lovell of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Special Friends and Family Jim and Ida Wolfe, David, Kristi and Erin Stanley, Warner and Paula Zoller, Tom and Judy Smith, Paul and Emogene Tingler and the Williamstown Seniors. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Anne. Memorial Donations may be made to the Women’s Care Center or Boaz Baptist Church Women’s Group for the new floor covering. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Boaz Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Alfred officiating and burial following at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, WV.Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521-5th St., Parkersburg and also one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at the church.
