Gloria Ann Delong

Gloria Ann DeLong, 76, of Parkersburg, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born June 11, 1947, to Charles and Kathleen Taylor and raised by her late aunt and uncle, Roy E. and Dorothy R. Malson in Washington, West Virginia.

Gloria was a homemaker, enjoyed crochet, and caring for her family. Her deep love for her grandchildren was known through her supporting them and attending their sporting events.

She leaves behind one son, Chris DeLong and his wife, Paula and two grandchildren, Dakota DeLong and Hunter DeLong (Ashton Palmer).

In addition to her beloved aunt and uncle, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, George “Red” Adrain DeLong and her biological parents, Charles and Kathleen Taylor.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with interment following at Sunset Memory Gardens. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, April 3, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
