Gladys Ruth Parsons

Gladys Ruth Whitlatch Parsons, of Millwood WV passed away on her birthday October 24, 2018 and moved on to her next journey. She was born October 24, 1939 in Parkersburg WV, to the late Ernest Franklin & Mabel Ruth Anderson Whitlatch. She worked as an LPN at St. Joseph’s in the 1970’s. She was a wonderful mother. She loved her children, grandchildren & great- grandchildren. She loved to read, work crosswords puzzles, & go to yard sales . She is survived by her daughter Cyndi Perry of Millwood WV, 3 Sons, Charlie Parsons, of Millwood, WV, Michael & Lisa Parsons of Parkersburg, Tim & Kayla Parsons of Charleston, Grandchildren, Charlie, Shauna Rae, Michael Parsons, Natasha Kelsey, Breanna, Samantha, Michael and Brett Parsons, Libby & Randy Lanham, Randi Marshall all of Parkersburg. Maggie Rae Parsons, Alexis Casto and Lilly Whittington of Charleston, WV, 2 Brothers David Whitlatch of Parkersburg, & Ed Whitlatch of Kingwood , 2 sisters in law Gerry & Sharlene Whitlatch & 7 great-grandchildren, Lexi, Abbey, Trinity, Dean, Stevie Rae, Sophie & Karlee Grayce. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years. Raymond B. Parsons, 1 Grandson Stephen R. Parsons, 2 sisters, Ardis Hart, Audra Vandergrift , 4 brothers, Charles, Paul, Danny & Ernest Whitlatch. & 4 infant siblings Betty Lucille, Joseph, Glenna Mae, & Anna all of Parkersburg and her son- in law Danny Perry. Friends and Family are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg, WV with Rev. Damon Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Herndon Cemetery.Visitation will also be on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm at the funeral home.
