Ginny Lynn "Scooter" Rutherford

Ginny Lynn “Scooter” Rutherford, 55, of Elizabeth, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.

She was born in Dade City, Florida, a daughter of the late Art W. Phillips and Mary Virginia Vaughan.

Ginny enjoyed adult coloring with gel pens, putting smiles on other people’s faces, and cooking to feed her family and friends.

Her favorite bible verse was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe in Him should be saved.”

Those left to cherish her memory include her fiancée, David Dyson; daughters, Mary Huskey (Jamaal) and Kendra Phillips (David); son, Bryan Williams; stepsons, David Dyson Jr. and Bertie Barton; brothers, Troy Adams (Margaret) and Greg Phillips; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her sisters, Vicky Adams, Susan Simonds, and Melissa Taylor and one brother, Mike Adams.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
