Georgia Hale Wilson, 90 of Parkersburg departed this life for her heavenly reward on February 21, 2017. She was born on August 3, 1926 to Myrtle and Elbert Hale in Rockport, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Denver Wilson Jr. Georgia and Denver are survived by their three children, son Gary (Joyce) of Elizabethtown KY, daughters Barbara (David) McCarthy of Lake Placid FL and Kimberly (Patrick) Barclay of Parkersburg with whom she was living at the time of her passing. Also surviving are her six grandchildren, Rebecca (Seth) Axelrod, Daniel (Karen) Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Joshua (Felicia) Barclay, Jacob (Amanda) Barclay, Shannon McCarthy and 12 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. The second youngest of 10 siblings, Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, her four sisters and three brothers. Her sister Doris Moyers and the youngest sibling James Hale survive. She was employed for many years as a CNA at Camden-Clark Memorial Center. She loved sewing, quilting and being with her family. Her greatest love was a lifelong devotion to caring for others. Final services are being entrusted to the Kimes Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home Friday from 2-8pm, with the funeral on Saturday at 10am at the Camden Avenue church of Christ, 2900 Camden Avenue, Parkersburg, WV, with Evangelist Dana Slingluff officiating. Burial will be at the Hartley Cemetery, Brohard WV.
