Gene C. Gorrell

Gene C. Gorrell, 79, of Vienna, passed away January 20, 2017.Gene was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Arthur C. and Agnes C. Cawley Gorrell. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was Catholic by faith. Gene is survived by two sisters,Mary Joan Shapley of Norfolk, VA and Patricia Kincaid of Belpre; four brothers, Robert Gorrell of Paris, Ohio, Michael Gorrell of Mineral Wells, William Gorrell of Louisville,Ohio and David Gorrell of Parkersburg. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by two brothers, James Arthur and Theodore P. Gorrell. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg.Burial will follow in the Evergreen North Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Post 15 American Legion, Parkersburg.The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Tuesday.
