Freda Joan Powell Riggs

Freda Joan Powell Riggs, 81, of Williamstown, WV passed away January 27, 2016 at Carehaven of Pleasants. She was born August 16, 1934 at Pleasants county, WV a daughter of the late Hal and Pearl V. Cunningham Powell. Freda was a homemaker a member the Good SAMS Camping Club enjoyed cross stitching, quilting, and her family especially. Surviving is her daughter Debra Moore (Lyle) of Williamstown, two Grandchildren Kevin and LeAnn, 4 great grandchildren Makaela, Nevaeh, Kyle, and Bradley. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband William E. Riggs in August of 2015, Three Brothers Charles, Dale, and Wayne Powell, and One sister Mildred Smith. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday At the Kimes Funeral Home 521 5th St Parkersburg with the Rev Elizabeth Campbell-Maleke Officiating, burial will follow at the Mt Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburgm, the family will greet visitors from 1 to 2 pm Friday at the Funeral Home. Tha family wishes to express deep appreciation to the staff of Carehaven for their care of Mrs Riggs.
