Frances Muriel Flinn

Frances Muriel Flinn, 90, formerly of Vienna and a resident of The Willows passed away December 8, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1925 in Wellsville, Ohio a daughter of the late Roy and Hazel E. McCauley Downard Gates. She was a member of the Vienna Baptist Church and a former member of the Pond Creek Baptist Church and was a Cook for the Wood County Jail. She also worked at Quality Poultry and was a Restaurant Cook. Frances is survived by her son, Harold R. (Ruth) Flinn of Red Hill, WV, two daughters, Marjorie (Paul) Terrell of Vincent, Ohio, and Gloria (Dale) Smith of Smithville, Ohio, two half brothers, Kenneth (Janet) Gates of Washington, WV and Ernest Gates of The Willows Nursing Center, and a sister, Donna Jean (Ed) Eaton of Lubeck, WV. Also surviving are her grandchildren, MargaretAllman, Kim Flinn, Harold Junior Flinn, Marvin Smith and Gary Smith and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a half brother, Carroll Gates and a sister, Virginia Wilburn, step-father, Carl Gates, and a son-in-law, Dale Smith. The family wishes to express thanks to the Willows Nursing Center and Camden Clark Emergency Room for the care they gave to Frances. Donations may be made the the Vienna Baptist Church in memory of Frances Flinn. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 11, 2015 at Noon with Pastor Dennis Pratt officiating and burial will follow at Pond Creek Baptist Cemetery.Visitation will also be on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 10 a.m. until service time at Noon.
