Ernest David Newman

Ernest David Newman, 91, formerly of Arcata, CA, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the residence of his son, Harry Newman and wife Cynthia of Mineral Wells. He was born May 10, 1925 in Jefferson County, MO, a son of the late Roy D. and Gladys E. Kier Newman. He was an Army veteran of World War II with over nine years of service.He was formerly employed by Louisiana-Pacific Lumber Company, California, in the production of building materials. In addition to his son and daughter in law, Mr. Newman is survived by his daughter, Barbara Newman of Parkersburg; two grandchildren, James Newman and Joanie Newman and four great-grandchildren, Emily Winans, Ryan Winans, Evangeline Newman and Loralai Newman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Emma Newman on April 5, 2017 and two brothers, Walter and David. There will be no visitation or ceremony.Burial of cremated remains will be the Missouri National Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
