Ernest Melton Congrove

Ernest Melton “Ernie” Congrove, 87, of Waverly, WV passed away May 23, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center.He was born August 12, 1929 in Belleville, WV to the late Harry Clinton and Gladys Hunt Congrove.He was a Truck Driver for Valley Bell Dairy, a U. S. Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and a member of the Teamsters Local #175. He is survived by five sons, David Congrove, Dennis Congrove, Dale (Sylvia) Congrove, Dwight (Angela) Congrove and Duane (Teresa) Congrove, one daughter, Debra (Congrove) McClain, one sister, Wilda (Glen) Jones and grandchildren, Tiffany, Ryan, Richelle, Wayne, Sean, Adam, Nathan, Zachary, Jonah, Jeffrey, and Lindsey and several great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and extended family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Kinney Congrove, one son, Doug Congrove and two brothers, Carl and Robert Congrove. Friends and Family are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg.Burial will follow at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.Visitation will be on Thursday May 25, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.
