Elsie W. Coleman

Elsie W. Coleman, 102, of Parkersburg, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024. She was born April 19, 1922, in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Forrest and Madie Williamson.
Elsie graduated from P.H.S. in 1941 and she loved her Big Reds. She also loved to garden, crochet, quilt, and walk and everyone loved her cinnamon rolls. Elsie was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Parkersburg.
She is survived by her son, Dean Leach (Ann); stepsons, Mike Coleman and Terry Coleman; granddaughter, Amy; grandson, Matthew; five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins; and her beloved family dog, Sid.
In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Coleman, and seven siblings.
Due to severe allergy issues her family strongly requests no flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Parkersburg or the PHS Athletic Department, 2101 Dudley Avenue, Parkersburg, WV 26101.
Memorial Services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church , 1341 Juliana Street, Parkersburg, with Pastor David Kaufman and Elder Kelly Beckett officiating. Her family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
