Ellen Ruth Wigal

Ellen Ruth Wigal, 100, of Parkersburg Care and Rehabilitation Center, passed away September 8, 2015. She was a daughter of the late Monroe and Rachael Ellen Emerick Sams. Ellen was a member of the Lubeck church of Christ and was a nursing assistant for Camden Clark Hospital and was a seamstress for Sanitary Linen. She loved cooking and sewing. She is survived by two sons, Keith F. (Beverly) Wigal of Lubeck and Roger L. (Rose) Wigal of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Lois L. (Carl) Schmauch of Belpre, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Heather, Amber, Polly, Chris, David, Chad, Brian and Jerrod; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Charles F. Wigal; 12 brothers; and three sisters. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Kimes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 521 5th St., Parkersburg, WV, with Evangelist David Newberry officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015, at the funeral home.
