Edward Charles Glasser, 82, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Monday, February 6, 2017.He was born September 2, 1934 at Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Edward and Elizabeth Hornyak Glasser. Edward was an instrument rated commercial pilot for several private companies.He had worked in industrial construction most of his life and his proudest achievement was serving as project construction manager for the remodeling of Union Station in Washington, D.C.He had served on the Parkersburg Utility Board and was a life-long member of Elks Lodge #198, where he had served as Exalted Ruler. He is survived by his wife, Theresa J. Parnell Glasser; two sons, Edward Michael Glasser of Parkersburg and Mark Alan Glasser (Joan) of Waxhaw, N.C.; one sister, Suzanne Knezevich (John) of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren Edward Robert Glasser, Ashley Stemple, Holly Keller and Grayson Glasser; and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Lincoln and Madison. Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg.Pastor Don Yeager will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M., Friday at the funeral home.
