Dorothy M. Kidd

Dorothy Mae Kidd, 86, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at The Willows.Dorothy was a loving, Christian wife, mother and grandmother, who will be sadly missed. She was born May 30, 1928 at Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Elizabeth Wilkins Osborne. She was a homemaker and member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ in Belpre, Ohio where she had occasionally served as pianist. Dorothy was a graduate of Parkersburg High and had been a bookkeeper at the former Wood County Bank. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Hobert B. "Hobe" Kidd; two daughters, Sandra Nutter of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Kathy Rainer (Rick) of Marietta, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Timothy Nutter, Dustin Nutter, Allie Rainer and Karlie Rainer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Osborne; one sister, Edith Cogar; and her son-in-law, Ron Nutter. Funeral Services will be 1 P.M., Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg with Don Seevers officiating.Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. The family sincerely thanks the staff of The Willows for their special, loving care.
