Dye, 94, of Parkersburg, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Eagle Pointe. Mrs. Dye was born in Parkersburg on December 26, 1924, a daughter of the late Chester A. Fleak, Sr. and Verna Rose Weiser Fleak.She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis Dye, in 1972. Mrs. Dye retired as a security specialist from the former Harts Department Store and also had been employed by the Parkersburg Area Better Business Bureau.She was Protestant by faith and especially enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidering and was known for being an excellent cook. Surviving Dorothy are one daughter, Ann E. Glenn and husband, Tracy P. Little, of Arlington, Texas; two sons, William A. Dye of Leesburg, Florida and James S. Dye and wife, Cathy, of Graham, Washington; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and special friends, Joyce, Jennifer and Brian Ault. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, J.C. Dye. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in the Chapel of Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg with Pastor Brady Stephens officiating.The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.Interment will be in the Evergreen South Cemetery.
