Dorothy Ann “Dotty”Dawson, 82 of Belpre died January 26th at Arbors.She was born December 2, 1935, in Parkersburg to Orville C. and Clara Ruth Drake DeMoss .Dotty’s parents had the Idle Inn Restaurant in Belpre where she met many friends.She graduated from Parkersburg High and married her true love Dennis Delmar Dawson.Together they raised a family of 1 boy and 2 girls. Dotty’s love of her family led her to searching the Holy Scriptures and different religions.When she was expecting their last child, she started studying the Bible with one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.Because of neighbor and family opposition, she stopped, only to start again in 1973, but this time Dennis also had a Bible Study.They wanted their family to have the Best Life Ever. They both were Baptized on November 24, 1974 .They were with the Marietta, Ohio Congregation but when the Belpre Congregation was formed, they moved there.Her hope was that their children would study and embrace their Faith. Because of Dotty’s love of Children, she bought “ Kiddie Kollege” a play school for kids.After retiring, she raised birds, flowers and still baby sat occasionally.Dotty had an outlook of true happiness.Her laugh was contagious and she never let much of anything bother her. Dennis and Dotty danced on Roller skates and they loved the music of the 50’s, therefore for their 50th. Wedding Anniversary, friends had a 50’s party where everyone wore 50’s style clothes. Dennis died in March of 2012 with the hope of being resurrected back here on the earth.Dotty hopes to join him again where she can grow flowers on a Paradise Earth.Dotty leaves this hope to her remaining family, Brother, BobbyDeMoss, in Florida;A Special Aunt, Janice Mc Caffery, Parkersburg;Loving Care giver, Pearl Gower.She also leaves this hope to her 3 children, Debbie Dawson and Kelli Dawson of Logan, Ohio; and Son, Mike Dawson of Belleville, W. V.; plus 7 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12pm to 1:00pm and the Services at 1:00pm on Saturday Feburary 3, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, College Parkway, Parkersburg, W. Va.
