Doris Marie Brannon

Doris Marie "Mammy/Aunt Babe" Brannon, 89, of Parkersburg, passed away at Camden Clark Medical Center on Monday, February 27, 2023.

She was born January 5, 1934, in Reedy, WV, a daughter of the late Elisha Otis and Mary Otie Dunbar.

Doris was a 1951 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Marvin Powell Brannon, until his untimely death in 1995. She worked at Universal Supply for thirty years prior to retirement. Doris was an avid collector of Boyd's Bears and loved watching QVC and Major League Baseball, in particular the Atlanta Braves. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers at her residence. One of her fondest memories was watching her grandchildren play sports.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Kimberly D. Brown of Parkersburg; her daughter-in-law, Tina   Brannon; her sister, Dorothy Smith (Dunbar); her granddaughters, Rebecca Brown, Ashley Brown, and Angela Shank; her great-grandchildren, Madelynn Shank, Barrett Ullman, and Maverick Shank; her special friend, Ronald Gann, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Brannon; her son, Randall Brannon; six brothers and two sisters.

In lieu of visitation and services, the family will have a private graveside memorial per her request.
