Donna Jean Mable Pelham

Donna Jean Mable Pelham, 58, won her battle with cancer by entering into Heaven on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

She was born on July 27, 1966, in Berwyn, Illinois, a daughter of the late Lester Pelham and Judy Asby.

Donna was a fun-loving person who enjoyed family, friends, children, music, animals, and shooting guns (“pew” “pew”).

Some of her hobbies were looking for 4-leaf clovers to give away to others, to share the luck; researching family history, building her family tree; and sky watching for pretty clouds, storms, rainbows, sunsets, sunrises, and shooting stars.

Donna’s favorite thing to wear was tie-dye t-shirts because she wanted to make the world more colorful and happier.

She is survived by her only full sibling, Michele Pelham Snyder (Ron); half-siblings, Lisa Ziegler, Ronda Sturm, Ron (Michelle) Sturm, and Michael Ashby; godchildren, Ethan and Michael; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents and one sister, Laura Sue Pelham.

Donna requested no funeral, her final wishes were to be cremated, and her ashes be cared for by her sister, Michele. Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist with final arrangements.
